Last night, together with Kel and Cza, we went to Banapple - Katipunan to have dinner. We've been planning this for a long time now, we really want to try what food this resto can offer. Aside from that famous doll house like structure of the resto, we also heard that it's also known for their superb pies.
It was just a 15-30 minutes drive from our place (Marikina), traffic included. We arrived at around 7:30 pm, just in time for dinner and we're starving. Parking was full, so we have no choice but to park my car alongside the busy street of Katipunan.
We ordered the following:
Cza's order: Hickory smoked barbecued country ribs
Extra tender country ribs grilled in hickory smoke, glazed with our homemade hickory barbecue sauce. Served with corn relish and seasoned garlic rice.
My order: Crisp pork scallopini with sour cream barbecue sauce
Crusted pork cutlets fried till golden, and smothered with a savory sour cream and barbecue sauce. Served with corn relish and garlic rice.
Kel's order: Pan-fried pork loin with herb mushroom gravy
Juicy pork loin steak seasoned with special herbs, pan-fried in olive oil, and smothered in a thick mushroom and herb gravy; served with glazed carrots.
For our pie, we ordered Creamy chicken pie
Moist chicken flakes blended in our creamy white sauce, wrapped in flavorful buttery crust.
Food was all great, expectations are all met. True that their pies are superb! :-D Will definitely come back to try their desserts, too bad we got super full after finishing the whole meal so we weren't able to try their sweets which they are also famous for. Haha. ;-)
