I have been reading a lot of reviews about the movie (500) days of Summer, and by just simply reading the words used by those people who have seen this simple romantic (?) master piece made me want to eagerly see the movie with my own eyes.

What's the movie about? It's about boy meets girl. This is not a love story...
...this is a story about love.

(00:01:00)
We met the heroes. The story has started to build its pieces one by one by slowly introducing the characters, phase by phase, we somehow had a grasp on the personalities we will encounter as the movie goes on. I admire the way they started the story using narration. It changed the atmosphere of the whole cinema into a coffee table, where in it felt like you are talking to somebody you just met, sat down with you to chat and kindheartedly shared to you his life story, and there you are, caught by his first few sentences, that all you can do is to listen eagerly and be focused so that you will clearly get the picture and understand.
(00:40:59)
Everything was magical. We suddenly fall into the illusion of love as it was being shown in the movie. I even can hear the people cheering for the to-die scenes in the movie, laughing to the funny jokes being cracked by the actors and actresses, be moved by the wordings, to fall in love with what's happening and be confused, as confused as Tom (the main Character) in the story as the conflict started to get into the suppose to be picture perfect scenarios.
I even heard my friend TR say, "nakakainis yung babae", and Kat murmured, " Ang gulo lang nia", lines that would interpret that everything happening that minute was in fact effective to the audience and has reached it's purpose.
(01:--:-- - ending)
As the story starts to end, we can strongly feel the emotions of the characters, we started to be moved by the hurtful actions and lines of the story. The film was not really a tearjerker, yet..
...it's heart-breaking.
few lines to share:
Summer: I woke up one morning and I just knew.
Tom: Knew what?
Summer: What I was never sure of with you.
Hearing those lines broke our hearts. As broken as Tom's.
It's right when they say that most of the times our expectation is the main reason why we get hurt. We often blame other people or even our own destiny when we hit the ground badly, the time we were finally pushed by reality to wake up and be real. The truth is, in this world, we can never blame just any one nor the circumstances if we fail to get something. That's the way things go.
Love hurts, so as anything else in the world. It's a given fact, and no one can escape being hurt, being rejected, or failing, whether in love or with the other aspects. All we need is to learn how to manage surviving the endless painful battle of redeeming your self. Mind over Matter.
Life goes on, and we can never escape the millisecond changes happening every turn of the clock. Happiness doesn't depend on luck, nor just by merely keeping faith with your destiny or trusting all your life in to fate. It goes beyond merely checking the probabilities you have over the matter. It is slowly being achieved by using your own hands reaching for it, with the help of our mind and heart teaching us how to do it, despite the risks involve.
This movie is definitely one of the best I've seen so far. And those who are interested in watching good, inspirational, quality movies, (500) Days of Summer is a must see.
I just remembered. Listen to the whole soundtrack of the film. It's to die for. The good choice of music blended really well with everything. It made the whole thing perfect! (I'll download my favorites later!)
After the movie, the three of us TR, Kat and I, were really silent. We are still affected by the emotions the movie gave us. But as the movie said, life goes on, it's time to fill our hungry stomachs. so off we go to Jack's Loft (Trinoma Branch).

Never mind the food, except for the tasty mushroom soup we ordered and the very "sulit" fish bowl red-iced tea, the rest of the food we have tried were nothing exceptional when it comes to taste. The buffalo wings are not that spicy nor the flavors were not that distinct. I don't know about the roast beef sandwich that Tr tried, she never said any words complementing the food besides it being a huge serving of meal too much for her appetite. Still, the thing that would make us go back to the place is the soothing ambiance we experienced. The cool sound of music being played on the back-ground, the serene breeze of cool natural air hitting our face as we hanged -out for a while, and the pleasant service they gave during our stay are enough reasons for us to be back again, for sure.
